Pravir Pandey, Vice Chairman of Inland Waterway Authority of India, Director of Jal Marg Vikas Project "We are doing more events than ever before, but mainly within the computer industry. Design Days 2014 was refreshing for us, especially due to the quality of speakers, which was stunning. It was a real privilege to listen to them."
Wng Cdr Satyam Kushwaha (Retd.), Chief Geospatial Officer of MoRTH "The focus of developing a Geospatial Analytical Center in Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is to create a single window facility for handling the entire lifecycle of National Highways which relates to creation, development, operation and management of every activity integrated and converged into a single point."
Ramakrishnan Ramamurthy, Principal Associate of GMR Group "For challenging projects where conventional methods cannot be used like high dense forest mapping to develop highway corridors in Mizoram, LiDAR technologies is utilized extensively to collect data in a short period. It is cost effective, highly precise and the visits to site location to recheck can be reduced drastically."
Hitesh Khanna, Advisor (Survey) of NHSRCL "I am a great admirer of geospatial technology. Geospatial technologies have to be imbibed as part of the standard civil curriculum, not just as an elective."
Quah Beng Chieh, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific, Faro Singapore "It is estimated globally that full scale digitalization in construction can bring about 1.7 trillion dollars of savings; using digital construction lifecycle methods like BIM as center point increases the transparency, optimizes the cost overheads and also aids in real time monitoring of the projects."

The genesis of the AEC FORUM is in the immense success of the Construction and Infrastructure program at the 20th edition of the GeoSmart India conference held from 4-5th December 2019 at HICC, Hyderabad, India. The inaugural AEC FORUM, co-located with the 21st edition of the GeoSmart India conference, is a unique knowledge-sharing platform curated to build an understanding of the digital transformation happening in the construction industry in India.
The AEC FORUM is designed to be at par with the transition of the AEC firms from Computer Aided Designing (CAD) to Building Information Modelling (BIM) and further to integrated geospatial and BIM solutions. The event provides a ready-platform to discuss a focussed, 'systems of systems' approach, enabled by the integration of different technology ecosystems – designed to help you – the project owner, the AEC firm to understand the opportunities of technology and innovation for the future of the built environment. With content programs and technology deep-dive session in visualization, simulation, analyses, and policy frameworks, the AEC FORUM will bring together the entire digital ecosystem (inclusive of geospatial and BIM) to understand, through discussion and networking, the potential of construction & emerging technologies and how these innovative solutions will empower the construction sector to be future-ready.
In the era of digital transformation, the forum will initiate conversation about the breakthroughs in the AEC sector from the adoption of the latest digital technologies inclusive of BIM, LiDAR, integrated geospatial and BIM solutions, AR/VR, AI, Blockchain & Cloud computing to create an opportunity for the stakeholders to bridge the digital gaps to reap the utmost potential of technologies in the project lifecycle.
